I was recently at an AIPAC meeting In Westchester County and was pleasantly surprised to see a synagogue full of enthusiastic people who heartily applauded when one of the politicians said he had opposed the Iran deal. It gave me some hope for the American Jewish community, a community I have become very disappointed with.
I am voting straight Republican now. I used to make exceptions occasionally for Jewish Democrats thinking they would support Israel in the crunch. These are the people most of whom followed Obama even so far as supporting his extremely dangerous Iran deal. Recently threats by some Americans Jews against Israel for not giving in to Reform and Conservative demands showed me again who they were. It seems that these are people who take Israel’s existence for granted and are willing to publicly threaten Israel with withdrawl of their support. What they don’t realize is that they need Israel a whole lot more than Israel needs them! What a bunch of arrogant SOB’s.
