Comment on Israel’s PM and Government Should Resign Today by Shalom Freedman

It seems to me there is a deeper underlying problem that is a very great danger to the future of the country. It is that there does not seem to be a way of creating a government that represents the majority of ‘centrist’ Israelis.
Focusing on security issues I have always supported Netanyahu. But now I am more and more aware of the social price paid by having the Haredim in such a commanding position. They demand to control the lives of the whole society while making a minimal contribution to it.
The Prime Minister needs them and perhaps any right wing coalition does, but it seems to me we need something which gives more consideration to other elements in the society.
